Meet Kathleen Alexander
When you get to know Kathleen, you will discover a person who can’t be easily pigeonholed. She’s unassuming, quick witted and has a good sense of humour. Kathleen keeps her “head” in check with a healthy dose of activities driven by her “heart”. Whether it’s exploring a new place for the first time, climbing a tree despite her fear of heights, or working with her clients on their business and career development, Kathleen approaches life with an infectious sense of enthusiasm.
The Call To Adventure
The youngest of eight children, Kathleen grew up in Malaysia. While still in her teens, she was awarded a scholarship to study at an international school in the US. After graduating with a BA in Business Management from Pennsylvania, she worked with several advertising agencies in Kuala Lumpur. Her next move was to Hong Kong where she worked for international television companies owned by News Corp and Time Warner. In 2000, Kathleen relocated to Sydney as Marketing Director for Cartoon Network & Turner Classic Movies.
Whilst the rise up the corporate ladder was everything she had wanted, she soon realised it wasn’t all she thought it would be. After a period of tossing between the safety of following a well-trodden path and heeding the call to adventure, she finally decided on the latter. Much to the horror of her mother, she resigned from her job and embarked on a journey which involved training in the exciting field of New Code NLP, moving to Melbourne and launching Clever Fox in 2004.
A New Beginning
Through Clever Fox, Kathleen has worked with hundreds of self driven individuals who want to integrate their personal and professional lives. She thrives on the multiplicity of her role as personal change catalyst, marketing strategist, confidante and coach to her clients.
Work aside, she is a dog lover, a domestic goddess “in training” who loves testing out new recipes, reading and driving randomly for the sake of discovering new things. She lives in Melbourne with her French husband along with her much loved kelpie, Jesse, a close kin of the clever fox and is “belle mere” to two lovely teens!
What’s In A Name?
People often tell us they love the name Clever Fox (we do too!) so we thought we’d share the story behind the name.
Foxes are legendary for their wit and intelligence. Thriving throughout the world, they can be found just about anywhere – from dry deserts to the vast expanses of the Arctic tundra, and even city fringes. The secret to their success – their ability to adapt and respond to their surrounds.
That pretty much sums up what Clever Fox is all about. We aim to help our clients be fox-like so that they too thrive, regardless of the circumstances they find themselves in.
